We are currently seeking a seasoned Avionics Supervisor to join our AH-64E Apache sustainment team in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. This role involves relocation to a scenic region and an opportunity to apply your specialized skills to support the Australian variant of the Apache helicopter, which is critical to national defense.

Role Highlights

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform maintenance on aircraft and components within your authorized scope.
• Mentor and guide team members to ensure technical skills are refined and standard procedures are followed.
• Oversee quality assurance to ensure all work meets inspection clearance before proceeding, including authorizing documentation.
• Manage team and individual workloads effectively to maintain high productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain thorough and accurate technical documentation, including reports and a competency log.
• Champion continuous improvement by recommending innovative technical solutions and more efficient work methods.
• Support workplace safety by assisting in safety assessments and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Avionics Supervisor with a full Apache Type Rating and at least five years working specifically with Apache helicopters.
• Holds or is pursuing a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) or an equivalent international trade qualification; possession or willingness to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Licence is highly desirable.
• Demonstrates strong initiative, effective task prioritization, and the ability to perform under tight deadlines independently.
• Skilled in fostering productive working relationships in complex organizational environments to achieve collective goals.
• Sound understanding of aviation Quality Assurance, maintenance and modification procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety standards.
• Proficient in using technical manuals, reading complex technical drawings, and interpreting directives accurately.
• Physically fit and capable of working safely in proximity to aircraft and at heights.
• Prepared to obtain Australian citizenship and comply with Australian Defence security clearances.
