Role Overview
This role reports directly to the Procurement Lead and spans a fixed contract of 12 months. The position aims to enhance supplier management, purchase orders handling, pricing accuracy, and commercial document oversight within the manufacturing and project delivery divisions. The role acts as the vital connection linking procurement, estimating, design, manufacturing, and site teams, helping organize a dynamic project-centric workspace.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create, issue, and monitor purchase orders, addressing any discrepancies involving suppliers or internal departments.
- Manage supplier onboarding processes by ensuring compliance and gathering necessary commercial documentation to fill any gaps.
- Communicate directly with suppliers to acquire up-to-date pricing, rate cards, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and sustain uniform, comparable rate card formats across all suppliers.
- Maintain current data on supplier rates, lead times, and costing within estimating and project management systems.

- Support project and operational teams concerning supplier availability, scheduling, and problem resolution.
- Propose and execute effective process enhancements throughout the procurement life cycle.
Required Skills and Experience
- Between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or coordinating supply activities.
- Proven track record managing end-to-end purchase orders.
- Ability to confidently engage with suppliers and subcontractors directly.
- Excellent organizational aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and strong follow-through capability.
- Comfort adjusting to and operating effectively within fast-paced environments with incomplete information.
- Proficient in using spreadsheets, purchasing software, or project cost management tools.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or trade services is highly desirable.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach rather than limited to strategic perspectives.
Benefits and Opportunities
This role offers substantial responsibility and direct engagement with suppliers and project teams from day one, rather than merely administrative support. There is notable potential for permanency following the 12-month term alongside the chance to work within a resourceful team to advance your procurement expertise.
- Onsite parking availability.
- Incentive schemes.
- Wellbeing programs.
- Career development support and learning opportunities.
