Proactive Sales Executive

Position Overview

The Sales Executive role at Aloft Hotels in Abu Dhabi involves engaging with guests and internal departments to address inquiries, resolve issues, and enhance guest loyalty through effective sales approaches. This role emphasizes up-selling, handling Marriott Rewards programs, reservation management, and promoting the Aloft brand image both within and outside the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with relevant departments such as Sales, Data Administration, and Accounting to address guest calls and requests effectively.
• Utilize sales techniques aimed at increasing revenue while ensuring continued guest loyalty to Marriott.
• Allocate complimentary gifts to guests appreciating their patronage, including rewards points or tickets.
• Manage redemption requests for Marriott Rewards points and accurately process all reservation-related actions by phone, fax, or mail.
• Record guest details and Rewards information in designated software during reservations.
• Handle general administrative tasks supporting the Sales & Marketing team including filing, correspondence, and data entry.
• Support management in employee training and motivation, acting as a positive role model.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain professional appearance, protect sensitive information, and uphold asset security.
• Interact courteously with all guests, anticipate their needs, and express genuine appreciation in communication.
• Maintain professional language, document preparation accuracy, and adhere to proper telephone etiquette.
• Foster constructive relationships within the team to achieve shared objectives while responding effectively to colleagues’ concerns.
• Oversee compliance with quality standards and monitor team performance.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Carry out other reasonable assignments from supervisors as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification mandatory.
