Position Summary

This role is focused on enhancing the dining experience by providing exceptional guest service that goes beyond serving food and beverages. Responsibilities include setting tables, coordinating with the kitchen, engaging with guests during service, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas and supplies. The Guest Service Expert ensures every interaction contributes to a memorable and enjoyable experience for guests.

Key aspects of the role require adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and quality standards. Personal appearance and professional communication are essential to maintain the Aloft Hotels brand image.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The job involves considerable physical activity: standing, sitting, and walking for long periods, navigating uneven or slippery surfaces, reading and verifying menu information visually, and performing manual handling tasks. These include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently or up to 50 pounds with assistance. Activities encompass reaching above and below the knees, plus bending, twisting, and stooping as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum education level: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Less than one year of relevant work experience preferred
• No supervisory experience required
• No additional licenses or certifications needed
