Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join a prominent company in the green energy and clean technology sector currently undergoing rapid growth. This key role in the Finance Team, based in Limerick, involves managing the payroll function with high accuracy and under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise preparation and processing of multi-frequency payrolls ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Manage all weekly and monthly payroll activities for both Ireland and the UK.
  • Handle bank file uploads to process employee payments as required.
  • Implement robust verification controls to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, IT, and Finance departments to develop a fully integrated payroll system.
  • Lead, support, and mentor payroll staff members.
  • Work with HR to administer and update compensation and benefits schemes.
  • Manage all employee expense payments efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance and accurate reporting concerning Revenue and HMRC obligations.
  • Generate and analyze data to aid in audits and financial review.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • IPASS payroll certification or comparable qualification.
  • More than six years’ payroll experience, ideally in a large corporate environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Irish Payroll and HR policies; UK payroll knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong initiative with excellent organizational and administrative capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits

This permanent onsite position is located in Limerick city, offering a salary range of €70,000 to €80,000 annually dependent on experience, with additional benefits such as paid holidays, gym access, pension scheme, bonuses, laptop, and expense coverage.
