Role Overview
As a signalling maintenance operative, you will be part of a small team carrying out vital daily maintenance outdoors to keep the rail network safe and operational for passengers and freight. Prior experience in rail is not necessary as transferable skills and attitudes are valued and comprehensive training will be provided to equip you for competent and secure work on the network. Key Responsibilities
- Perform work safely following prescribed safe work systems, method statements, and guidelines.
- Conduct assigned tasks and duties only when trained and deemed competent.
- Carry out work efficiently and safely meeting all relevant standards and instructions.
- Inspect and ensure fitness for purpose of vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials under your control, including proper storage and disposal.
- Engage in ongoing personal development activities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess and maintain required competencies aligned with role demands.
- Preferably hold or be pursuing an NVQ Level 1 or equivalent in a related field.
- Willingness and ability to drive company vehicles as necessary.

Salary offered is A338,482 per annum at Maintenance grade.
