Job description

Overview

Our client based in Athenry, County Galway is expanding and is looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their operations team on a permanent basis. This role is critical for managing and delivering operational, digital, and business projects within the global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, management, and successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Control project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental teams across different regions and time zones.
  • Serve as the main contact point between the EPMO and operational stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, reports, and key performance indicators.
  • Create and update project-related templates, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Promote clear communication and teamwork between departments.
  • Collect, analyse, and present project metrics to aid decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, governance, and procedural standards.
  • Be a proficient user of project management tools and related software.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least five years of experience managing projects.
  • Demonstrated track record delivering projects involving technology, marketing, sales, and operations functions.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Advanced skills with project management platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication capabilities, adept at managing multiple stakeholders and organising complex tasks.

Desirable: A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and certifications such as PMP or PMI are advantageous.
