Role Summary

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Burnfoot facility in County Donegal. This role is ideal for proactive individuals who thrive in fast-paced, hands-on settings and value contributing to safe and efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Track real-time production schedules via IFS software, coordinating, inspecting, and distributing materials to production teams.
• Identify damages or shortages, initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all materials, and accurately document items issued to projects.
• Follow up on outstanding material requests and keep the Team Leader informed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace environment.
• Facilitate the timely transfer of materials among stores, fabrication, assembly, and production departments.
• Mentor junior staff, recognize training requirements, and escalate as needed.
• Champion Vertiv Operating System (VOS) principles and continuous improvement efforts.
• Comply fully with health, safety, security, and regulatory standards, including risk assessments and COSHH regulations.
• Conduct physical inventory counts, reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock and system records, and update warehouse management systems to ensure accurate stock records.
• Assist stock replenishment by organizing and relocating materials to maintain production availability.
• Utilize barcode scanners, ERP systems, and warehouse management tools to monitor material movements efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience working in manufacturing or warehouse environments is essential.
• Strong attention to detail with precise counting and data recording capabilities.
• Basic mathematical proficiency and IT skills for reconciling and entering data.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with workshop equipment, procedures, and methods.
• Clean disciplinary background.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of molding systems and production workflows is advantageous.
• Experience operating warehouse machinery such as forklifts is desirable.

Working Conditions

This position involves regular physical activity including walking, standing, and lifting within a busy warehouse setting. Experience with forklifts or related equipment may be required.
