Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our vibrant team. This role focuses on refining our manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and ensure top-notch product quality. A strong grasp of manufacturing methodologies, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and a drive for continuous improvement are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, update, and maintain detailed manufacturing routing documents that outline process sequences, machinery needs, and estimated times, ensuring alignment with engineering designs and quality criteria.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to streamline routing steps, maximize efficiency, and reduce expenses.
- Carry out time studies to determine accurate process and labor durations and utilize this data to refine production workflows and enhance productivity.
- Keep thorough and current documentation covering manufacturing processes, routings, operational instructions, and quality control methods, ensuring easy access for pertinent staff.
- Analyze existing manufacturing operations to identify improvement opportunities and implement innovative approaches to increase efficiency, lower costs, and elevate product standards.
- Research, select, and oversee the setup and commissioning of manufacturing equipment compatible with production needs and budget limits.
- Develop production plans, scheduling, and capacity management to meet demand and optimize resources.
- Diagnose manufacturing challenges promptly, applying corrective measures to reduce downtime and maintain high productivity levels.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by embedding lean manufacturing techniques and methodologies throughout operations.
- Collaborate across functions—including engineering, operations, and quality teams—to achieve project goals and support company objectives.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and quality assurance practices.
- Skilled in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing process simulation tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to solve manufacturing issues effectively.
- Excellent ability to communicate and work collaboratively within a team environment as well as independently.
Preferred Credentials
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing methodologies or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with automation technologies and robotics integration.
