Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Manager - Analytics to spearhead the advancement and sophistication of our enterprise analytics function. This leadership position involves guiding the delivery of business intelligence, sophisticated analytics, data science, and data modeling services. The goal is to empower the organisation with dependable, high-quality insights that underpin strategic and operational decisions.

You will lead a dedicated team responsible for crafting scalable, reusable, and impactful data products. Additionally, you will promote innovation and the integration of modern analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities across Kāinga Ora.

This role offers a chance to influence enterprise-wide strategic decisions and deliver tangible benefits across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand the analytics capabilities to convert complex data into actionable insights improving decision-making.
  • Define and evolve the future state of the analytics function across Kāinga Ora.
  • Manage the delivery of business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data science initiatives ensuring alignment with organisational needs.
  • Develop scalable and reusable data products that provide high impact and value.
  • Champion innovative analytics and AI adoption throughout the business.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related fields, preferably within complex organisational contexts.
  • Deep expertise in data modelling, semantic layer architecture, data visualization, and BI platform management.
  • Proven ability to lead teams specializing in analytics, BI, insights, or data product development with a focus on talent growth and performance.
  • Strong technical leadership across BI, advanced analytics, and data science domains.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the interplay between Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Governance to ensure trustworthy, secure, and fit-for-purpose data products.
  • Experience in establishing clear distinctions between enterprise data products and reporting layers to enhance consistency, scalability, and governance.
  • Track record of developing robust and well-structured data foundations enabling reliable reporting, insights, and informed decision-making.
