Job Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Customs Broker to join an established freight forwarding and logistics company based in Sydney. This full-time position offers the flexibility to work fully remotely. Candidates with 1 to over 5 years of licensing experience in customs brokerage are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and lodge import declarations accurately.
• Conduct tariff classification and valuation for various commodities.
• Offer expert advice regarding customs legislation, duties, GST, and applicable concessions.
• Oversee customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with Australian Border Force, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), and other regulatory authorities.
• Assist clients by addressing technical queries related to customs.
• Maintain precise records and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with freight forwarding and operations teams to streamline processes.

Candidate Profile

• Must hold a valid Australian Customs Broker Licence.
• Preferably possess 1 to 5+ years of experience as a licensed customs broker, though highly experienced brokers are also welcome.
• Background in freight forwarding, customs, or international logistics is desirable.
• Sound understanding of Australian customs laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Competent in tariff classification and valuation methods.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.
