About the Role
Join DKB Code Factory as a Junior Android Developer and embark on your Android career while shaping the future of mobile banking. Collaborate on building end-to-end brokerage features in our mobile banking app, including functionalities like stock trading, investment plans, and portfolio insights. You'll grow your technical expertise, contribute innovative ideas, and gradually assume greater responsibility within a cooperative and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver features and fixes in the Broker Android codebase from ticket assignment through production deployment.
- Actively engage in SCRUM ceremonies to uphold quality and ensure ongoing delivery.
- Work closely with Product and Design teams to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and refine user flows related to account opening, trading, investment, portfolios, and orders.
- Adhere to team standards by writing maintainable code, incorporating appropriate tests, and documenting technical choices and pull requests.
- Request and apply feedback from peers and mentors; promptly raise issues and seek clarification on ambiguous requirements.
- Support platform migration and related architecture work as needed, following established practices for quality assurance.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by sharing ideas, participating in knowledge exchanges, and fostering collaboration.
Desired Qualifications
- Solid foundational knowledge in programming or computer science.
- Basic comprehension of Android development concepts and familiarity with the Android Studio environment.
- Comfortable coding in Kotlin or keen to learn it rapidly.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Motivated to learn, open to coaching, and eager to enhance technical capabilities via mentorship and practical experience.
- Collaborative approach, comfortable participating in code reviews, pair programming, and cross-functional discussions.
Additional Advantages
- Exposure to Jetpack Compose, coroutines, dependency injection, or Clean Architecture methods.
- Basic knowledge of Android testing techniques including unit and UI tests.
- Experience using Git workflows and collaboration platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
- Previous involvement in Android projects or internships.
