Overview

The Information Technology Auditor at Mowasalat Qatar is essential in advancing the company's goal of providing agile, secure, and sustainable transport solutions. This role offers objective assessments and independent assurance on the robustness of IT risk controls, governance, and management practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement thorough IT audit engagements by conducting risk evaluations, defining audit procedures, and preparing detailed reports.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of the IT environment being audited, including associated risks and control mechanisms.
• Assess IT systems, applications, and infrastructure for adherence to regulatory and internal company policies.
• Evaluate the structure and effectiveness of IT controls, focusing on infrastructure, application security, and data protection.
• Identify audit findings and suggest actionable improvements to enhance processes and controls.
• Review IT governance structures, policies, and procedures for compliance with organizational objectives and standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by identifying gaps and proposing corrective solutions along with remediation plans.
• Contribute to development and upkeep of IT risk management plans, performing risk assessments and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Continuously monitor IT risk controls and processes to mitigate operational, compliance, and security risks.
• Create comprehensive IT audit reports with executive summaries and present findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Follow up on audit outcomes to confirm implementation and sustainability of recommended actions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive company data and promote ongoing improvements in IT governance, risk, and internal control frameworks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent IT/IS audit certification such as CISA, CISSP, or ACDA preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT auditing, risk management, or related discipline.
• Exposure to the transportation industry or experience at a prestigious organization in a comparable position is beneficial.
• Preferred certifications include Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency working with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization.
• Experience with data analytics and scripting tools such as ACL Analytics or comparable software.
• Familiarity auditing IT General Controls (ITGCs), Application Controls, and IT frameworks.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP systems.
• Strong capabilities in audit report writing and documentation.
• Experience in cybersecurity auditing, risk management, or performing security assessments.
