Role Overview

The Applications Specialist in Systems Operations at Mowasalat Qatar is vital in upholding the company's mission to provide agile, secure, and sustainable transportation solutions. This role ensures enterprise applications are stable, available, and performing optimally while supporting daily operations, resolving incidents, and collaborating with users, IT teams, and external vendors. It also focuses on continuous improvements, system integration, and maintaining compliance with operational standards and data confidentiality.

Primary Duties

• Deliver technical support to enterprise applications by troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and performant.
• Keep application documentation current, including user guides and technical specs.
• Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions tailored to meet business demands.
• Work with stakeholders to collect requirements and develop test scenarios that validate solution effectiveness.
• Gather and analyze business and system needs, documenting findings comprehensively.
• Prepare business cases, proposals, and detailed technical documents to guide system upgrades and new implementations.
• Integrate applications with existing infrastructure to facilitate flawless data exchange and system compatibility.
• Configure applications to align with business requirements optimizing both performance and user experience.
• Create and conduct training programs to boost user adoption and system utilization.
• Maintain user-related documentation such as manuals, guides, and FAQs.
• Monitor system health, support incident management, and drive operational enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to operational policies, standards, and data confidentiality protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years’ experience in enterprise application support or system operations.
• Preferred certifications include Certified Associate in Software Engineering (CASE), programming credentials (e.g., Java, Python), and Agile certifications such as Scrum Master.

Skills and Competencies
