Job Overview
We seek a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain our facilities with integrity and thoroughness. The aim is to provide a clean, well-kept environment for our guests that supports our reputation and meets quality care standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow infection prevention and control (IPAC) best practices for tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, emptying garbage, cleaning bathrooms, and thorough cleaning post-discharge.
- Comply with IPAC protocols and company procedures when cleaning admission rooms, discharge areas, isolation, and outbreak client rooms or units.
- Adhere to all Bayshore HealthCare Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure all rooms are cleaned and inspected to set quality standards.
- Safeguard equipment and promptly report any deficiencies or damages.
- Respond professionally and patiently to valid complaints or requests.
- Monitor stock levels of consumables and replenish as needed.
- Strictly follow health and safety regulations and company-related practices.
- Engage in quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts aligned with the Quality Management System.
- Actively participate in Health & Safety initiatives, reporting any risks or concerns to supervisors.
- Complete Accident Reports for direct reports injured on the job within 24 hours.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information, sharing only with authorized personnel.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Secondary school diploma preferred; completion of Home Support Programs where relevant.
- Previous experience as a cleaner or housekeeper is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high performance.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Customer-focused and approachable demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle challenging situations consistently and objectively.
- Effective time management and prioritization to handle multiple tasks.
- Efficient work pace without sacrificing quality.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, reach unrestrictedly, and lift up to 23 kilograms.
- Verbal and written communication skills in either English or French.
- Knowledge and application of infection prevention practices.
Experience Required
At least one year of recent experience in a related role or life experience involving similar duties is essential.

Onsite position at Wasaga Beach, Ontario.
