Job description
Job Overview
MAC.BID acquires large shipments of customer returns and overstock items, then resells them individually through online auctions. The High Value Scanner (HVS) role involves carefully inspecting and testing valuable electronic products like iPads, smart watches, and cell phones to determine their condition before listing them for sale. This position requires using proprietary software to accurately scan and upload product details into the auction platform. The HVS reports directly to the Scan Team Lead.
Primary Responsibilities
- Examine, troubleshoot, and test electronic devices for functionality and condition
- Scan items into the company system to generate auction listings
- Conduct product research online to verify information
- Capture, edit, and crop photos for auction listings
- Review and correct auto-generated item descriptions to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Achieve both quantity and quality targets consistently
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Available to work onsite Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break
- Comfortable with technology and able to troubleshoot electronic devices
- High personal integrity and honesty
- Experience or comfort with web-based and browser software, including Google and Amazon searches
- Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to follow written instructions and comply with company policies
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
