Head of Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Engineering with substantial expertise in software engineering and leadership. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience managing product engineering teams or overseeing multiple delivery lines in roles such as Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, or Engineering Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and expand engineering teams by recruiting top-tier technical talent.
• Foster the growth of engineers and emerging technical leaders within the organization.
• Make strategic and credible technical decisions across the engineering stack.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong command of system design principles, specifically including distributed systems, API architectures, event-driven workflows, relational databases, caching mechanisms, asynchronous processing, cloud infrastructure, and observability.
• Proven ability to build or scale engineering teams effectively.
• Experience with a contemporary technology stack, particularly TypeScript, React, Node.js/NestJS, Fastify, PostgreSQL/Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis, AWS cloud services, containerized environments, continuous integration and deployment, and infrastructure as code. While deep expertise in every component is not mandatory, the candidate must confidently lead technical directions across the entire stack.
• Proficient English communication skills.

Compensation and Location

• Gross salary of $4000 per month.
• Position based onsite in Da Nang City, Vietnam.
