About the Role
We invite applications for a hands-on Grounds & Maintenance Officer position at Eureka Villages in Mandurah, Western Australia. This permanent full-time role offers $28.87 per hour plus superannuation and involves a variety of groundskeeping, gardening, and general maintenance duties within our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, weeding, watering, and general garden care.
- Perform various general repair and handyman tasks such as painting, minor plumbing, fixture and lock replacement, basic plastering, and other non-specialist maintenance.
- Ensure the park remains clean, safe, and well-presented through rubbish removal, pressure cleaning, and reporting or addressing safety and maintenance concerns promptly.
- Observe and adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) practices when operating tools, equipment, and chemicals, keeping accurate maintenance records.
- Deliver courteous and respectful service to residents, respond to maintenance requests, and collaborate effectively with the Park Manager, onsite team, and contractors.
What We Offer
- Hourly wage of $28.87 plus super based on the Aged Care Award Level 2 for Day Workers.
- Permanent full-time employment ensuring stable and consistent working hours.

- Autonomy to prioritize and manage your workload while being supported by an onsite team.
- Job satisfaction through making a tangible difference in our residents’ lives and the community environment.
Work Environment
The role is dynamic with no two days being the same. Tasks may range from grounds maintenance to responding to residents’ maintenance needs, pressure washing communal areas, or preparing residential units. The role requires interacting professionally and politely with residents and team members while working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, gardening, property maintenance, or handyman duties.
- Practical knowledge and confidence in using hand and power tools to carry out various non-specialist maintenance activities.
- Good understanding of WHS standards including safe equipment and chemical use.
- Self-motivated and capable of spotting maintenance tasks, planning workloads, and completing jobs independently.
- Friendly, respectful communication skills suited to working cooperatively with residents, colleagues, and contractors.
Applicants must be comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions and have a strong dedication to safety and community presentation.
