Position Overview
The role of Store Manager involves leading and coaching the store team to deliver exceptional service to customers, helping pet owners choose suitable nutrition and solutions for their pets. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about pet care and eager to grow their career within a leading pet retail organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all customer service standards are achieved by the staff, maintaining positive community relationships, such as with the local Humane society.
- Lead and manage the store team including recruitment, scheduling, training, assigning daily tasks, supervising, and coaching employees.
- Enforce compliance with corporate operational standards and procedures among team members.
- Handle administrative responsibilities such as order placement, inventory management, completing required store safety and corporate audits, coordinating minor store repairs, and managing miscellaneous paperwork.
- Drive the team to meet business targets effectively.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years experience in customer service and retail store management.
- Motivation to learn and advance in the pet care industry.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service capabilities.
- Availability to work scheduled shifts including weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transportation to and from work location.
- Proficient in observing and coaching employees on sales techniques and exceptional service delivery.
- Ability to recognize and address team conflicts appropriately, escalating when necessary.
- Familiarity with using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Experience in the pet industry considered advantageous.
