You will play a key supportive role to the Store Manager in driving sales goals, recruiting talent, and nurturing team growth. Responsibilities
- Assist in meeting sales objectives and comparable sales targets alongside the Store Manager.
- Lead recruitment efforts, team development, and retention of an enthusiastic and cooperative store crew.
- Be the store's biggest advocate by generating excitement about new products, leveraging social media, and utilizing services such as Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and curbside pickup.
- Provide operational leadership by balancing delegation, autonomy, and customer-focused sales approaches to ensure smooth business functioning.
- Monitor shrinkage, loss prevention, manage payroll, and schedule associates efficiently.
- Communicate openly with retail leadership and headquarters regarding market trends and customer insights.
- Analyze sales reports and data to refine store strategies towards hitting sales targets.
- Merchandise the store attractively following planograms and execute promotional campaigns promptly.
- Partner with the Store Manager to cultivate a dedicated, high-achieving team focused on customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in retail store management, preferably with an enthusiasm for music and pop culture.
- Proven leadership capabilities with strengths in communication, recruiting, operations management including payroll, reporting, scheduling, and merchandising.
- Strong skills in time management, professionalism, and people development.
- Completion of high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; possessing a higher education degree is a plus.
- Adaptability to fast-paced retail environments and readiness to face unexpected challenges effectively.
- Ability to navigate store layout, handle merchandise as per safety guidelines, including lifting boxes up to 50 pounds.
