Job Overview and Responsibilities
This position requires a seasoned developer with over eight years of hands-on experience in Progress OpenEdge ABL programming language. The role includes working with OpenEdge RDBMS concepts and applying Object-Oriented Programming principles and SQL. Experience in object-oriented server-side programming languages such as Java or Python is also essential.
The ideal candidate should have familiarity with Progress AppServer and Progress Database technology, which will be considered an advantage. Good knowledge in front-end web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is desirable, along with exposure to any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The candidate is expected to be proficient in Agile software development methodologies and comfortable using tools such as Postman for API testing. Ability to work independently, tackle and resolve complex technical issues forms a crucial part of the job role.
