Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced FDM4 Developer proficient in Progress OpenEdge ABL programming language. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in OpenEdge ABL/4GL, SQL, and Object-Oriented Programming concepts, and demonstrate the ability to contribute independently to complex problem solving in software development.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Develop and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL programming language.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of OpenEdge RDBMS concepts, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and SQL in development tasks.
- Perform server-side programming with experience in object-oriented languages such as Java or Python.
- Utilize Progress AppServer and Progress Database technologies where applicable.
- Leverage Agile methodologies effectively in development cycles.
- Employ tools like Postman for API testing and development validation.
Additional Preferred Expertise
- Familiarity with front-end web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience in any ERP system implementations or development.
Qualifications
Candidate should demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as an individual contributor and handle complex problem-solving scenarios in software projects.
