About The Role
As a Cyber Security Architect at Bunnings, you will be instrumental in shaping secure, scalable solutions to safeguard our customers, employees, and technology landscape. This role involves collaboration across cloud, infrastructure, applications, identity, and security platforms, influencing strategic technology decisions and integrating security throughout our processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate secure technology solutions within a dynamic digital environment.
- Collaborate with project and tech teams to integrate security-by-design in new initiatives.
- Identify cyber security risks and vulnerabilities and develop practical solutions balancing security with business needs.
- Contribute to cybersecurity strategies, architectural standards, and capability planning.
- Provide expertise on modern security controls, identity management, cloud security, and risk mitigation.
- Support security governance initiatives and promote cyber awareness among technology teams.
- Monitor emerging threats, technologies, and trends, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
- Work alongside stakeholders, vendors, and industry peers to enhance security outcomes.

Required Experience and Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in cyber or information security.
- More than 2 years in cybersecurity architecture roles with enterprise-level experience in delivering security architecture.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, controls, and risk management.
- Proven ability to influence architecture strategy and roadmap direction.
- Experience in cloud security, identity and access management, SIEM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, network and application security.
- Familiarity with security architecture principles and secure solution design.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance, privacy, and data protection standards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure, practical technology solutions.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience.
