Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cyber risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and create balanced solutions addressing both security and business needs.
  • Contribute to the evolution of cyber security strategies, architecture standards, and future capabilities.
  • Offer expert counsel on contemporary security measures, identity management solutions, cloud security, and risk management.
  • Assist in defining security governance frameworks and promote cyber security awareness across technical teams.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders, vendors, and industry peers to enhance security standards and share expertise.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker able to perceive the broader implications of security decisions on business outcomes. Curiosity and problem-solving capabilities are critical, alongside clear and practical communication of technical concepts. Collaborative, knowledge-sharing, and continuously improving, you'll feel energized working alongside diverse teams and senior stakeholders, driving impactful security improvements throughout the technology environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of five years' professional experience in cyber or information security.
  • At least two years in cyber security architecture roles with demonstrated enterprise-level delivery.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cyber security frameworks, control measures, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to influence enterprise architectural strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience spanning cloud security, identity and access management, SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, network security, and application security.
  • Understanding of security architecture principles and secure solution design.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards, such as privacy and data protection.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
  • A relevant tertiary degree in Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience.

  • Complimentary standard OnePass membership.
  • Access to over 100 specialized team member benefits covering health, shopping, travel, wealth, work, and leave.
  • Paid parental leave for 12 weeks regardless of gender.
  • Regular festive gifts, discounted food and beverages at the Bunnings Cafe, and opportunities to travel with store teams.
  • Support for career progression within a nurturing and inclusive workplace culture.
