About the Position
Join a vital role within an essential infrastructure supporting communities across Europe and beyond. As a Customs Clearance Clerk, you will be instrumental in ensuring the orderly and compliant transit of goods at borders. This position involves working 12-hour shifts covering both day and night periods, requiring dedication and focus in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify customs and related shipment documentation meticulously.
- Ensure precise entry of data into designated operational systems.
- Address and resolve inquiries from internal teams, clients, and customs authorities efficiently.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with hauliers, suppliers, and relevant external parties.
- Monitor shipping progress and address any issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
- Stay informed and compliant with up-to-date customs regulations and procedures.
- Support team members to ensure a seamless customs clearance process end-to-end.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of recent experience in customs clearance, demonstrating a solid understanding of customs operations. Success in this role depends on thriving in a busy setting, strong team collaboration, and the ability to act independently when necessary. Excellent communication, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving skills are critical.
