Customer Delivery Driver

About the Role

As a Customer Delivery Driver for Tesco, you represent the company on the road by delivering groceries to customers' homes with friendly and efficient service. This role involves hands-on physical work, including loading and unloading van, and requires working independently throughout your shifts. Every day is different, offering both variety and responsibility.

Working Hours

• Sunday, Tuesday, and Saturday, 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their shopping in excellent condition.
• Load your delivery van carefully and perform necessary vehicle checks to confirm it’s safe and ready for use.
• Communicate clearly and kindly with customers regarding any substitutions, order changes, or short-dated products, providing refunds as needed to sustain positive experiences.
• Handle all products with care to preserve quality and customer confidence.
• Deliver orders punctually within scheduled time slots and provide warm, genuine interaction when handing over goods.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to foster strong teamwork and positive relationships with colleagues to enhance service delivery.
• Friendly, welcoming attitude toward customers and co-workers.
• Adaptability to quickly respond to changing customer needs and embrace ongoing changes both on the road and at the store.
• Possession of a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for a minimum of 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
