About The Role

This position offers the chance to join the Project Management team as an expert and supervisor in contract administration, acting as the Superintendent's Representative. The role supports medium to large infrastructure projects focused on delivering new infrastructure assets. Based in the Leederville office, the position reports to the Manager of Contracts Administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contract administration comprehensively from technical, commercial, and contractual perspectives based on contract requirements
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations by both the contractor and principal
  • Facilitate resolution of technical and commercial issues related to contract administration
  • Lead contractor progress meetings, ensuring occupational safety and health (OSH), environmental, and quality procedures are communicated and followed
  • Support Water Corporation personnel with OSH, environmental, and quality audits on projects
  • Provide advice and support for contract administration and assist in preparing tender documents if requested
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, Delivery Managers, Project Directors, Project Managers, Superintendents, and other Superintendent’s Representatives
  • Attend site visits and progress meetings as required, demonstrating flexibility

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in contract administration managing contractual responsibilities within infrastructure projects, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works. Familiarity with large-scale works contracts and the AS 4000 suite of contracts is essential. A degree in engineering, construction law, quantity surveying, or a related field is required. The role demands strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing abilities to build and sustain productive relationships.
