Commissioning Engineer (Instrumentation & Control)

About the Opportunity

Airswift, a global manpower provider specializing in the energy, infrastructure, and IT sectors with a presence in over 70 countries, is supporting a major Oil & Gas operator. The operator is undertaking a multi-billion offshore redevelopment project encompassing both greenfield and brownfield scopes. This role involves a long-term contract focused on commissioning engineering related to instrumentation and control systems, based offshore with a rotational schedule.

Position Details

• Title: Commissioning Engineer (Instrumentation & Control)
• Contract Duration: 36 months with potential extension
• Location: Based in Doha headquarters with site visits
• Rotation: 29 days on / 27 days off offshore cycle
• Working Hours: 5 days a week, 8-9 hours per day
• Start Date: Negotiable, typically requiring up to one month notice

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering (B.E. or B.Sc.)
• At least 15 years of commissioning experience primarily in brownfield modifications within oil and gas or related facilities, including offshore projects
• Extensive exposure to multicultural work environments
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English

Key Responsibilities

The onshore Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and preparing commissioning documentation to be utilized by the offshore operations commissioning team. Accountability includes ensuring adherence to technical standards and the implementation of globally accepted engineering practices, aiming for safe and effective commissioning of plant and equipment.
