Job Overview
Join a global team of architects, engineers, designers, and environmental scientists dedicated to shaping the future. We are looking for a motivated Intermediate Electrical Engineer to contribute to multidisciplinary building services projects across New Zealand and Australia, based primarily from Christchurch.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement electrical systems for buildings, focusing on power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage networks.
- Provide input for communications, ICT, fire systems, and related infrastructure within buildings.
- Develop comprehensive design documents, technical reports, and specifications that meet organizational and client standards.
- Support all stages of project delivery including planning, design evolution, construction phase, and occasional on-site services.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assist in proposal development, bids, and responses to new opportunities.
- Engage in projects across New Zealand and Australia, with prospects to contribute to wider Asia-Pacific initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Has at least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally between 3 to 5 years.
- Possesses background in building services electrical design, specializing in power, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
- Experience with ICT systems and multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Skilled in preparing detailed design documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Proficient in AGI-32 and PowerCAD software packages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
- Capable of working independently to produce high-quality work outcomes.
- Experience with security system design and construction-phase support or site-based services is a plus.
- Certified or working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is preferred.
