About the Role and Company
Airswift is a global recruitment provider specializing in the Energy, Infrastructure, and IT sectors with presence in over 70 countries. We are partnering with a national operator to recruit a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for a long-term contract based offshore in Qatar. This role involves rotational shifts and demands coordination with the offshore operations commissioning team.
Start Date and Location
The position begins as soon as possible, typically requiring up to one month notice. The work location is offshore Qatar, with a working schedule of 29 days on followed by 27 days off.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an onshore Commissioning Engineer responsible for compiling and coordinating commissioning dossiers that will be used by the offshore commissioning team.
- Ensure that all commissioning activities comply with technical standards and internationally recognized engineering practices.
- Oversee that plant and equipment commissioning is executed safely and effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (B.E. or B.Sc.).
- Have at least 15 years of commissioning experience, primarily in brownfield modifications related to oil and gas or similar industries, including offshore projects.
- Majority of experience should be in multicultural work environments.
- Proficient command of spoken and written English is mandatory.
