Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you will pinpoint and secure valuable opportunities within key café groups, major venues, and strategic clients. This involves close collaboration with café owners, operators, distributors, and coffee roasters to expand the MILKLAB brand. You will steer contract negotiations and foster sustainable growth initiatives. Managing the entire sales cycle from introduction to rollout, you will cultivate a robust opportunity pipeline delivering significant commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new business across priority accounts and significant café locations.
- Maintain and nurture a healthy pipeline of commercial prospects.
- Direct pricing discussions and manage commercial agreements, including renewals.
- Establish strategic collaborations with coffee roasters and distributors for mutual growth.
- Scout and leverage opportunities to broaden MILKLAB’s footprint in metropolitan and regional markets.
- Provide precise sales forecasts and opportunity reports.
- Work cooperatively with internal teams to facilitate seamless customer onboarding and ongoing success.
Candidate Profile
- Proven expertise in business development, field sales, or account management within the FMCG, foodservice, or coffee sectors.
- Strong skills in commercial negotiation and business acquisition.
- Demonstrated success in managing strategic relationships and securing new business.
- Capability to analyze data for opportunity identification and sound commercial decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- High resilience, proactive mindset, and strong drive.
- Excellent organizational and time management for self-directed territory management.
- A genuine passion for coffee coupled with knowledge of café operations, blends, or specialty coffee is highly advantageous.
