Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Engineering department. This vital role involves organizing and driving maintenance planning for our site to ensure maintenance operations are well-scheduled, resourced, and executed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage maintenance work schedules, optimizing production windows and planned shutdowns while balancing considerations of safety, quality, production, and logistics.
- Lead the scheduling of routine preventative and corrective maintenance, statutory compliance, and major plant overhauls.
- Ensure effective use and accuracy of the MEX maintenance management system for planning and record-keeping.
- Coordinate procurement and availability of parts and materials needed for maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Trades teams to identify process improvement opportunities and corrective measures.
- Organize equipment servicing and coordinate external contractors for specialized maintenance activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner or in a related maintenance/reliability role, preferably within manufacturing.
- Familiarity with MEX or other CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance store management and spare parts coordination.
- Strong communication skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Experience handling external contractors and service providers is a plus.
- Background in FMCG industry is highly desirable.
