About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our Architectural Coatings division at Donnybrook - Johnstone’s Decorating Centre. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Dublin 4, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the store management team. While prior customer service experience and IT skills are beneficial, we provide comprehensive in-store training to get you fully up to speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager by handling day-to-day operational and staffing matters.
- Ensure a consistently exceptional customer service experience is delivered by yourself and the team.
- Complete all necessary training to confidently advise customers and promote our products.
- Stay informed about promotions and contribute actively to meeting sales targets.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety standards within the store.
- Maintain cleanliness and high standards of store presentation.
- Manage and be accountable for stock movement, including receipts and dispatches.
- Handle payment processes including cash and card transactions, as well as placing orders and stock checks.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
- Strong communication abilities paired with a positive, customer-centric approach.
- Basic understanding of IT systems beneficial.
- Willingness to be flexible regarding work duties and schedules.
- Possession of a valid driving license is advantageous but not mandatory.
