Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our Valve Automation Center (VAC) team. This practical role involves assembling, testing, inspecting, packaging, and facilitating the delivery of premium valve automation products. Your efforts will ensure safe manufacturing, accuracy, timely delivery, and contribution to ongoing process improvements within the operation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble valves, actuators, and automation products accurately, following detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Conduct functional tests, inspections, and quality assessments to verify product compliance.
- Complete production, testing, and quality paperwork meticulously and punctually.
- Support pressure testing and the final stages of product testing as necessary.
- Assist with receipt of materials, inventory management, packaging, and shipping processes when required.
- Identify and report any quality or safety issues expediently.
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized work area.
- Engage actively in continuous improvement programs and 5S workplace organization initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical diploma, vocational certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant field.
- Experience with mechanical or electrical assembly in a manufacturing setting.
- Capability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Basic proficiency with computers and experience in completing production-related documentation.
- Strong focus on detail, quality standards, and safety compliance.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive work approach.
Preferred Background
- Prior work experience in a Valve Automation Center or similar industrial setting.
- Familiarity with valves, actuators, control systems, or instrumentation products.
- Experience performing pressure and final product testing procedures.
- Forklift certification and/or prior warehouse operation experience.
