About the Organization
International Transformation Foundation (ITF), operating in Kenya, is searching for a detail-focused and driven Accounts Assistant to support the financial management team and guarantee adherence to accounting principles and regulations.
Key Duties
- Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure they are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all financial activities comply strictly with accounting laws and standards.
- Assist in enhancing and updating accounting methods and systems.
- Manage and supervise the use of accounting software to help streamline the capture of financial data.
- Keep secure and dependable backups of all financial documents and records.
- Guide staff members on the proper and effective use of accounting software and systems.
- Establish and maintain consistent accounting policies and procedures throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience and proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software is essential.
- Capability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- A self-motivated individual who is proactive and focused on achieving results.
- Exemplifies integrity, flexibility, and professionalism in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with others in a team setting.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and proficient time-management skills.
- Passionate about youth development and willing to volunteer time and effort.
- Applicants should be aged between 18 and 30 years.
