About One Acre Fund Rwanda
One Acre Fund, established in 2006, supports 5.5 million smallholder farmers across nine African countries, delivering quality farm inputs, accessible credit, and agronomic training to boost farm productivity and income by over 35%. In Rwanda, operating under the Tubura brand since 2007, the program employs over 3,000 staff serving more than 2.8 million farmers nationwide, collaborating closely with the government to enhance food security and support agri-SMEs focused on high-impact crops like coffee, avocado, and chili.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled procurement and contracts professional with a minimum of two years’ experience to lead cost-saving initiatives and manage contracting processes within our procurement department, thereby amplifying our impact on farmers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end tendering and contract execution for significant goods and services, including developing procurement plans, setting strategic six-month objectives, establishing price baselines to maximize savings, and continuously refining sourcing processes for greater efficiency.
- Analyze yearly expenditure across critical categories to devise a tender calendar reviewed quarterly, incorporating market research to increase competition and contract effectiveness.
- Oversee contract lifecycles and long-term agreements by monitoring price thresholds, managing change control procedures, assessing market risks, and reporting cost reductions.
- Conduct semiannual vendor audits and monthly discussions with leading suppliers to formulate performance enhancement plans and ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Serve as the primary interface between external vendors and One Acre Fund while supporting internal procurement requirements.
