Internship Overview
Join Planys Technologies Private Limited, an IIT Madras incubated startup, focusing on submerged robotic inspection and survey technology. This internship offers hands-on experience with embedded programming, PCB design, and hardware testing in a cutting-edge marine robotics environment. The role involves supporting design, testing, and documentation of electronic systems for underwater vehicles, along with conducting market research and managing inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply basic skills in embedded system programming and utilize PCB design software.
- Perform soldering tasks and test OEM electronics hardware.
- Conduct market surveys, prepare bills of materials, create reports and manuals, and manage inventory and vendor relations.
- Leverage prior practical exposure to electrical and electronics technologies.
- Work with electronic components and operate testing and measuring instruments.
- Use MS Office tools proficiently, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Communicate effectively through verbal and written mediums.
- Maintain 5S standards and safety protocols in the electronics laboratory and assembly workshop.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be enrolled in Electronics Engineering programs.
- Availability to work full-time onsite for a six-month period starting between August 24 and September 28, 2026.
- Relevant technical skills and interests aligned with the internship requirements.
- Women aiming to launch or resume their careers are encouraged to apply.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Currently pursuing or completed B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- Experience ranging from freshers to one year in embedded electronics or power electronics.
- Familiarity with tools such as Eagle, KiCad, Altium, schematic design software, oscilloscopes (DSO), and multimeters is preferred.
Additional Information
- Stipend ranges between INR 12,000 and INR 15,000 per month.
- Internship duration is 6 months with immediate start possible.
