About the Internship
This internship offers hands-on experience in electrical engineering within the innovative field of electric vehicle battery swapping. The intern will contribute to the design and development of wiring harnesses for vehicles, battery modules, and Swapp Stations, including the preparation of detailed wiring diagrams and engineering documents for both low and high voltage systems. The role also involves support in selecting components such as wires, connectors, and protection devices, as well as participating in harness fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing.
The intern will assist with electrical integration and troubleshooting of vehicles and battery modules, support prototype builds and field testing, and maintain essential documentation like Bills of Materials and test records. Emphasis is placed on compliance with electrical safety standards and cooperative work with cross-disciplinary teams during different stages of development and deployment. Hands-on activities include soldering, crimping, cable termination, connector assembly, and electrical rework. Mechanical assembly support and integration using workshop tools are also part of the responsibilities. Travel may be necessary for field testing, component procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring harnesses, connectors, relays, and fuses.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical blueprints.
- Proficient use of multimeters and basic electrical testing instruments.
- Basic knowledge of high-voltage electrical safety, along with a commitment to safe handling of EV battery systems and associated high-voltage circuits under supervision.
- Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities and eagerness to learn.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
