Daily, dnata manages over 1,900 flights, 8,500 tons of cargo, 16,000 hotel bookings, and 320,000 meals.
dnata Zanzibar seeks motivated, qualified Tanzanian nationals to become part of their OCC team as Operations Support Agents, contributing to the smooth and secure functioning of flight operations.
Role Responsibilities
- Publish and verify the daily Operating Schedule for completeness and accuracy.
- Disseminate customer notifications and operational updates promptly to both internal teams and external partners.
- Provide live updates on flight status, potential disruptions, schedule alterations, urgent requests, and cancellations to on-duty dnata staff.
- Administer the dnata Operations mailbox with timely and accurate responses, maintaining organized inbox and folder management.
- Transmit movement messages (MVT) according to agreed Service Level Agreements with stakeholders.
- Update the dnata FiNDnet system as tasks are completed.
- Enforce compliance with dnata policies and procedures, promoting safe operations on the ramp and baggage handling zones.
- Maintain current documentation within the Operations Control Centre, including the dnata Ground Operations Manual (dGOM), airline Ground Operations Manuals (GOM), and applicable IATA manuals.
- Update and circulate the SLA matrix consistent with commercial agreements.
- Ensure ramp team adherence to dnata policies and procedures.
- Monitor On Time Performance (OTP) actively and support the Operations Coordinator for efficient OCC and airside activities.
- Identify and escalate potential operational issues to Operations Coordinators and the Duty Manager.
- Manage inventory and resupply of office consumables.
- Record engagement and key milestone times to accurately determine delay reasons and codes.
- Perform and supervise aircraft weight and balance calculations for departures, adhering to airline requirements. Provide captains with precise data such as EZFW and load sheets, including adjustments post-LMC transactions to ensure signal accuracy before Planned Departure (PD) status.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Regularly conduct safety briefings and intervene in case of exposure to risks; exemplify safe behaviors and follow through on corrective measures.
- Encourage open discussions of safety concerns and report them to supervisors promptly.
- Comply with safety, quality, and environmental policies to maintain a healthy workplace.
- Serve as a model for desired safety conduct, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure all tasks are done safely.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in Airport Operations.
- Strong, practical knowledge of airport operational processes.
- Advanced IT proficiency and computer literacy.
- Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
