Role Overview

The Ground Services division is seeking a proactive and dedicated National Workforce Planner who will report directly to the National Workforce Planning Manager. This full-time role carries a national responsibility and is crucial for ensuring efficient operational planning and analysis within dnata Australia's Ground Handling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update seasonal workforce plans weekly, aligning with flight schedules and stakeholder input, while adhering to strict deadlines within a structured planning system.
  • Administer workforce supply adjustments, including managing leave processes and working collaboratively with training departments.
  • Optimize employee schedules and rosters to enhance operational efficiency and utilization while upholding safe and dependable service delivery.
  • Support financial, commercial, and operational decision-making by assisting in scenario modeling and data analysis for stakeholders.
  • Monitor workforce availability and efficiency across all operational sites, identifying staffing supply issues and recommending effective solutions.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to planning systems and workflows to foster a culture focused on planning excellence.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, business, finance, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience.
  • At least two years' experience in operational resource planning, preferably within aviation, transport, or a related sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills capable of simplifying complex operational and planning concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to analyze planning and operational data and present insights engagingly.
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities and stakeholder interests.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Compliance with aviation security and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with GroundStar and Plano platforms for scheduling and rostering.
  • Competency in Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools.

Additional Information

Successful candidates must pass a police background check before commencing employment.
