Stocker - Aisle

Position Overview

The Stocker role involves ensuring timely and polite customer service while efficiently stocking shelves with products and keeping aisles tidy and safe.

Primary Duties

• Deliver courteous and prompt service to customers.
• Unload boxes from pallets, place items on shelves, and open boxes to stock individual products.
• Rotate merchandise to prevent product expiration on shelves.
• Arrange and face items neatly on shelves for better presentation.
• Conduct inspections to comply with HACCP guidelines.
• Participate in daily inventory reviews for product rotation to minimize shrinkage and damage.
• Verify and update shelf pricing to ensure accuracy according to current market conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness of aisles by regular scrubbing, moving pallets, and thorough cleaning underneath.
• Continuously monitor floor conditions for hazards; promptly address spills and remove debris such as plastic wrap, ties, wood pieces, or trash appropriately.
• Report low or out-of-stock items promptly to supervisors.

Additional Duties

• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• May occasionally work in different departments as required.

Physical Requirements

• Steel toe boots are required.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, including overhead lifts and carrying up to 50 feet.
• Frequent lifts/carries over 12 times per hour at 50 lbs; constant lifts/carries over 30 times per hour at 20 lbs.
• Capable of horizontal pushing and pulling loads up to 500 lbs.
• High levels of agility, finger, and manual dexterity (80-100%).
• Physical tolerance includes constant standing/walking, frequent bending/stooping, occasional ladder climbing, reaching above shoulder level, twisting head, kneeling, and squatting.

Work Environment

• Mostly moderate temperature with some exposure to refrigerated and freezer sections.
• Temperature variations near receiving and front-end areas depending on outdoor conditions.
• Working around moving equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scooters.
