Summary

The Task Associate plays a vital role in operational excellence to support sales initiatives, ensuring an outstanding retail experience at Ulta Beauty. This involves merchandise stocking, maintaining store cleanliness, and executing assigned operational tasks while supporting the Merchandise and Operations Managers by focusing on metrics, team collaboration, and adherence to procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Help achieve or exceed retail sales targets by timely execution of tasks and ensuring product availability on the sales floor.
• Meet compliance standards related to operational processes such as shipment handling, stock replenishment, inventory counts, merchandise setups, and planogram adherence.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Foster an inclusive environment welcoming teammates, guests, and peers alike.
• Participate regularly in various training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Adhere to company policies, dress codes, and operational standards.
• Perform merchandise resets, marketing displays, physical inventories, and shipment processing using company technology and best practices.
• Ensure the assigned work area is neatly stocked, accurately signed, properly faced, and that testers are available.
• Uphold excellent store standards including cleanliness of salesfloors, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break areas.
• Safeguard assets by following loss prevention procedures and delivering exceptional guest service.
• Carry out additional operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least one year of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience preferred.
• Comfortable using basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Availability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement throughout the store during shifts.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Regular lifting, carrying, and moving of items up to 25 pounds.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
