Role Overview

The Task Associate plays a key role in supporting store operations to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for guests. By maintaining stocked merchandise, adhering to cleanliness standards, and completing assigned tasks, the associate contributes to meeting sales goals and operational excellence. This position supports Merchandise and Operations Managers by focusing on store performance, team collaboration, and process compliance. Attention to detail and following established procedures are essential aspects of this role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help achieve or surpass retail objectives by ensuring proper task execution and product availability for customers.
  • Meet compliance and operational goals around inventory, shipments, merchandise resets, and task dashboards within assigned timeframes.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Foster an inclusive environment supportive of teammates and guests alike.
  • Engage regularly in continuous learning including brand and category training to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
  • Perform merchandise resets, planogram setups, marketing displays, inventory counts, and responsible processing of shipments using company technologies and best practices.
  • Maintain operational excellence by keeping work areas replenished, properly signed, faced, and tester products available.
  • Ensure outstanding store upkeep including sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break areas.
  • Protect company assets by following loss prevention protocols and delivering excellent guest service.
  • Complete additional operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Preference for candidates with a high school diploma.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Competence with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Requires continual movement throughout the store during shifts.
  • Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting actions during work periods.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, or moving objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects throughout shifts.
