Job Overview

The Janitor position involves all-around cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within specific buildings or multiple client locations. Responsibilities vary depending on client requirements, requiring flexibility in executing various janitorial tasks.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Full-time position
• Hourly wage of $17.00
• Weekly pay cycle

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment properly to avoid floor and surface damage
• Sanitize and upkeep restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entrance areas
• Dispose of trash and handle material compaction as needed
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using suitable tools and cleaning agents
• Perform carpet spot cleaning and assist in deeper carpet extraction and shampooing tasks
• Replenish necessary paper products and hygiene supplies
• Adhere to prescribed housekeeping schedules
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machines like floor scrubbers and buffers
• Take on additional duties based on work scope or customer demands

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or a minimum of six months experience in janitorial work
• Training will be provided on the job
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions diligently

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work
• Knowledge of custodial procedures and commercial cleaning standards
• Familiarity with floor maintenance techniques such as buffing and waxing
• Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities upkeep
