Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and innovative Lighting and AV Engineer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will design, install, configure, and maintain advanced lighting and audio-visual systems across corporate events, venues, and facilities. Collaboration with clients, production teams, and vendors is essential to ensure flawless technical execution and client satisfaction. This dynamic role offers the chance to deploy technical skills and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design customized lighting and AV system solutions to meet client and venue requirements.
- Install, configure, and test lighting fixtures, audio systems, projectors, and screens.
- Manage equipment operation including lighting consoles and audio mixers during events.
- Conduct troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for all related technical equipment.
- Work closely with event planners and production staff to ensure all technical needs are fulfilled.
- Develop technical drawings and system designs using CAD and dedicated AV software.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards throughout installations.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for component sourcing and inventory management.
- Provide ongoing technical support to both clients and team members during setup and live events.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, equipment specs, and maintenance logs.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in lighting and AV technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of professional experience in lighting design, AV engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Expertise with lighting control systems including LED, moving, and conventional lights.
- Strong knowledge of AV systems such as projectors, amplifiers, screens, and mixing consoles.
- Proficient in CAD and specialized AV design tools for system planning and documentation.
- Understanding of networking protocols, DMX control systems, and both audio and video signal flow.
- Familiarity with electrical power distribution and safety compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities for technical issues.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Preferred experience includes event production, broadcast environments, venue management, video production, content management systems, and vendor coordination.
