Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global teams in application engineering, product development, sales, and marketing to create and replicate high-impact consumer electronics applications.
• Evaluate customer needs thoroughly through testing and trials to identify the best 3M solutions and communicate these findings via detailed reports and presentations.
• Represent 3M's comprehensive portfolio of Display and Electronics products through trainings, conferences, presentations, and other customer-facing technical engagements.
• Support new product launches by preparing documentation, demonstration tools, training materials, and videos.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the electronics sector to provide valuable input on new product ideas and market intelligence.
• Specify 3M products on engineering drawings for key OEMs and Tiers and assist in transitioning business to manufacturing sites across various regions.
• Recommend and plan lab infrastructure and capex by specifying necessary equipment in coordination with engineering teams.
• Deliver training to 3M teams, distributors, and customers, utilizing various formats such as online platforms and field workshops; enhance sales productivity through e-tools and well-structured training modules.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with major subjects including Electronics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics, from a reputed institute or university.
• Have at least 5 years of professional experience in R&D with a focus on applications engineering; minimum 2 years in customer-facing roles within the electronics industry.
• Experience working with tapes, adhesives, conductive materials, Thermal Interface Materials (TIM), and familiarity with converting processes like die-cutting and slitting is advantageous.
• Exhibit an exploratory mindset to recognize new applications, customer pain points, and value selling opportunities.
• Understand intellectual property (IP) protocols and procedures well.
• Be a proactive team player capable of independent planning and minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong networking abilities internally and externally, along with skilled customer account management.
• Possess excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experienced in developing collateral such as digital content and demonstration tools pertinent to electronics applications.
• Willingness to travel domestically approximately 25-35% of the time.
