About CodeVyasa

CodeVyasa is a partner specializing in applied AI and engineering, supporting enterprises in building and scaling Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud, DevOps/SRE, and GenAI capabilities. Their engagements encompass providing expert engineering talent, dedicated teams, and capability centers.

Role Overview

We seek a Client Partner (Account Director) based in Mumbai with 6+ years of experience to manage and expand a portfolio of enterprise clients. The role entails converting established client relationships into larger, multi-service engagements by identifying new buyers, uncovering business and technological priorities, building opportunities, and generating profitable revenue. This is a quota-based position focused on growing presence across teams, departments, and geographies while safeguarding existing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead account growth by designing and implementing account plans with defined revenue goals, expansion opportunities, stakeholder analysis, and milestones.
  • Identify key decision-makers, budget holders, influencers, and procurement contacts beyond existing relationships.
  • Build strong senior-level connections with CIOs, CTOs, engineering leaders, data heads, and business leaders.
  • Discover upcoming initiatives, gaps in delivery, and chances to scale teams or introduce new services.
  • Conduct thorough discovery to understand client problems, environments, priorities, budgets, procurement processes, and desired outcomes.
  • Drive opportunities from qualification through proposals, commercial negotiations, and contracts, coordinating with presales and delivery teams.
  • Explore engagement expansion, including advancing from individual engineering tasks to dedicated pods, projects, or capability centers.
  • Ensure account health by collaborating with delivery and customer success teams to manage risks, retain business, and support contract renewals.
  • Maintain financial discipline by tracking revenue, profitability, forecasts, and payment risks jointly with finance and delivery.
  • Lead client business reviews, maintain updated opportunity records, next-step plans, and forecasts in CRM systems.

Candidate Profile

  • 8–15 years of relevant work experience, especially managing enterprise account growth in IT services or digital engineering.
  • Proven track record in expanding existing accounts with tangible revenue growth and documented personal contributions.
  • Skilled at identifying new buying centers and selling additional services within established clients.
  • Confident engaging senior technology and business stakeholders.
  • Strong competencies in discovery, consultative sales, negotiation, and account planning.
  • Experience in owning revenue targets and managing commercial outcomes.
  • Adept at coordinating presales, engineering, delivery, and recruitment teams to meet client goals.
  • Proactive and self-driven approach to initiating outreach and generating opportunities independently.

Technical Understanding

While coding or architectural design is not required, you should have a sound understanding of data engineering, cloud, platform engineering, DevOps, and GenAI business applications to:

  • Engage in credible initial conversations with technology leaders.
  • Ask pertinent discovery questions and detect potential opportunities.
  • Match client needs with suitable CodeVyasa capabilities.
  • Coordinate with solution architects and specialists at appropriate stages.

Success Metrics

  • Net revenue growth within assigned portfolios.
  • Retention and renewal of existing client business.
  • Profitable expansion into new teams, service lines, and geographical areas.
  • Volume of qualified opportunities generated and converted.
  • Depth and breadth of influencial decision-maker relationships.
  • Accuracy of revenue forecasts and delivery on account plans.

Initial 90-Day Goals

  • Gain understanding of current engagements, financials, and delivery status for the portfolio.
  • Create prioritized account plans and stakeholder maps.
  • Build solid relationships with current sponsors and new decision-makers.
  • Develop a qualified expansion pipeline with clear follow-up actions.
  • Advance priority opportunities toward proposals, pilots, or commercial negotiations.

Preferred Backgrounds

Candidates currently serving as Client Partner, Account Director, Strategic Account Manager, or Senior Account Manager at a technology services company are ideal. Demonstrated success in account growth is more important than any title.

Application Requirements

Applicants should provide two examples of enterprise accounts they have personally expanded, specifying the initial status, growth achieved, time period, and their direct contributions.
