Overview

Join QinetiQ at their Shoeburyness facility as a Warehouse Technician, where you will play an essential role in supporting defence trials, testing, and disposal operations by managing the safe receipt, storage, and movement of specialized materials in a secure, regulated environment. This position offers a competitive salary ranging between 34,425 and 38,250 annually, depending on experience, along with various benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle receiving, storage, and issuing of specialist materials in line with safety and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain precise stock control records and manage inventory management systems efficiently.
  • Assist in warehouse operations, including conducting inspections and audits to uphold compliance.
  • Coordinate material logistics to support active trials and operational tasks.
  • Participate in risk assessments, enforce safety protocols, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure safe and compliant outcomes.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience within warehouses, logistics, inventory management, or related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control processes and accurate record keeping.
  • Understanding of safe handling and storage of controlled or regulated materials.
  • Ability to work strictly according to procedures in regulated settings with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Valid manual driving license is mandatory.
  • Possess Level 2, 3 or 4 qualifications (or equivalent) in technical, logistics, engineering, or defence-related fields, or demonstrate equivalent hands-on experience.

Additional Information

This role comprises 37 working hours per week, based at the Shoeburyness site, with potential travel to other QinetiQ locations or client locations as needed. Applicants must be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance at minimum, as part of national security vetting requirements.
