Range Safety Support Worker

Position Overview

Join QinetiQ at our Pendine site as a Range Safety Support Worker, contributing to the safety and efficiency of site trials within a cutting-edge defense testing environment. As a crucial member of the Range Resource team reporting to the Resource Manager, you will ensure site safety through a variety of support activities.

Key Duties

• Serve as a lookout and range signaller during operations.
• Ensure full compliance with all Risk Assessments and Task instructions.
• Prepare and set up ranges following established documentation and procedures.
• Maintain essential core skills through ongoing training, such as manual handling.
• Uphold high quality standards and workplace safety at all times.
• Strictly apply Health, Safety & Environmental protocols and processes.

Required Experience and Skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Able to work effectively within prescribed processes.
• Capable of working well both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with tele-handler and forklift equipment is beneficial but not mandatory.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Possession of a full, clean driving license is mandatory.

Work Conditions

• This is a part-time role requiring 37 hours per week.
• Position is based at the Pendine site in Wales with a minimum site attendance of five days weekly.
• Compressed work schedule options (9-day fortnight) are available.
