Job description
Position Overview
Join QinetiQ at our Pendine site as a Range Safety Support Worker, contributing to the safety and efficiency of site trials within a cutting-edge defense testing environment. As a crucial member of the Range Resource team reporting to the Resource Manager, you will ensure site safety through a variety of support activities.
Key Duties
- Serve as a lookout and range signaller during operations.
- Ensure full compliance with all Risk Assessments and Task instructions.
- Prepare and set up ranges following established documentation and procedures.
- Maintain essential core skills through ongoing training, such as manual handling.
- Uphold high quality standards and workplace safety at all times.
- Strictly apply Health, Safety & Environmental protocols and processes.
Required Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
- Able to work effectively within prescribed processes.
- Capable of working well both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with tele-handler and forklift equipment is beneficial but not mandatory.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Possession of a full, clean driving license is mandatory.

Work Conditions
- This is a part-time role requiring 37 hours per week.
- Position is based at the Pendine site in Wales with a minimum site attendance of five days weekly.
- Compressed work schedule options (9-day fortnight) are available.
