Role Overview

We are actively seeking a meticulous Vehicle Inspector to join the team. This position involves conducting detailed examinations of vehicles to evaluate their condition, detect any damage, and ensure compliance with company and customer standards. The role demands keen observational skills, precision, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth inspections covering cosmetic, mechanical, and structural aspects of vehicles.
  • Accurately document inspection results using portable digital devices and specialized inspection software.
  • Evaluate vehicle conditions according to established company and client criteria.
  • Generate comprehensive reports supplemented by photographs when necessary.
  • Coordinate with bodyshop, refurbishment, and operations teams regarding required repairs.
  • Ensure timely processing of vehicles to achieve operational goals.
  • Keep thorough and precise records and documents.
  • Comply with health and safety standards as well as company policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the working environment.
  • Provide support to colleagues and foster a collaborative team atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in vehicle inspection, automotive operations, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and condition assessment techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in tasks.
  • Competent in using digital platforms and handheld inspection equipment.
  • Good communication and organizational abilities.
  • Possession of a valid full UK driving license.

Desired Qualifications

  • Background working in bodyshops, auctions, or vehicle logistics sectors.
  • Familiarity with vehicle repair methodologies and refurbishment procedures.
  • Experience with inspection software and reporting tools.
